This ION was a case study of why the US auto industry has hit such dire straits. The owner didn't like it: the driver's seat was uncomfortable, and the car was a familiar sight at the service bay. The buyer didn't like it either, but he kept losing out on the Civics and Corollas he really wanted and needed something, anything, NOW. So off it went as a joyless example of cheapo design: just enough to get the job done, but not enough to make you care. |
